Islam is the fastest growing religion today. No longer is Islam restricted to being “over there somewhere,” it is quickly spreading here in America. Muslims can be found in our neighborhoods, businesses, and communities. How are we to respond?
There are two major errors to avoid. First, we need to avoid viewing Muslims through the lens of fear and prejudice. But in avoiding fear, we must avoid going to the opposite extreme where real problems and issues are whitewashed in the name of political correctness. In sum, we need to develop a fair and balanced understanding Islam to reach our Muslim friends out of genuine love and understanding.
